The Fall Retreat

Join us in Ashland, Oregon for a life-changing 6-week retreat for young adult homeschoolers! This is the first program of its kind to be offered to young adult homeschoolers (to our knowledge), and we're excited to have you join us for its inaugural session!

Location

Ashland, Oregon is the home base of the Fall Retreat. Ashland is a small, safe town of roughly 20,000 residents.

Ashland is home to the world-renowned Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Southern Oregon University (a 4-year public liberal arts college), and many small businesses. Most destinations are within walking distance.

Dates

Monday, October 7th to Monday, November 15th, 2010 - 6 weeks total

Group Size

4-6 young adult homeschoolers (ages 18-20) - Firm minimum age limit of 18!

Tuition

$2800 includes room, board, weekday activities, weekend adventures, materials, and transport during the retreat.

Accommodations

Students will stay in one or two rented group houses (depending on total enrollment), unaccompanied by HLR staff members. (HLR staff will stay in separate residences, available via phone at night). The members of each group house are responsible for cooking, cleaning, and other basic household duties. Expect double occupancy (same sex).

Transportation

Students are responsible for arranging their own transportation to the retreat site. You may arrive by car or plane:

• Driving: Ashland is easily accessible via Interstate 5 from San Francisco or Portland.
   
• Flying: The Rogue Valley / Medford Airport (MFR) services the area; students then take an airport shuttle to Ashland. HLR is available to help you book your roundtrip flight to MFR.
